HELLO AND WELCOME TO THE SADDLEBAGZ MEETING PLACE. WE WOULD LIKE TO GET TO KNOW YOU AND HEAR ABOUT WHAT'S IMPORTANT TO YOU. WE ALSO LOVE TO HEAR HORSE STORIES!  

  I'm Liza, founder and co-owner of Saddlebagz. My partner in crime is Jackie. We met when we were kids at Tynedale Pony Club (home of dastardly ponies and kids to match). I have 2 kids and 2 horses. Kiwi is my kid's pony. She hates most adults but LOVES kids - go figure! Komi is my Morgan mare. She is 19 going on 3 and has metabolic syndrome which has caused her to founder at least twice. She is still 100% sound and her condition is being closely managed. Not being on pasture makes her a bit sad but healthy.

  As Jackie and I were developing our product line it became apparent that there were some things that were very important to us. Firstly, we wanted to have products that were made in Canada. We love our country and we want to let everyone know that. All of our bags have the Canadian flag on them, so when they travel people know where they come from. All of our other products are made here, mostly in Ontario, and have the Maple Leaf on the label. That makes us feel good. Secondly, we wanted our products to be as chemical-free as possible. More and more we are learning about how chemicals affect us and the environment, and it's mostly bad news. Keeping our products as natural as possible also makes us feel good.  Thirdly, we want all of our products to be of the highest quality.  We are always looking for ways to improve our existing products and developing new products. We love to experiment!
